What makes therapy with me different?
The research shows that the therapeutic relationship is one of the strongest predictors of positive outcomes in therapy. Some of the ways I approach building a unique, strong therapeutic alliance have included:
Sending bullet point notes of sessions for support with neurodivergence
Creating individualized mindfulness/meditation recordings
Reading a book alongside clients and processing what we read in sessions (e.g., books about exploring gender identity to general mental health related books)
Giving clients with illness and pain the flexibility to lay down, stretch, eat, turn cameras off, etc. during our meetings
Having a more flexible cancellation/reschedule policy (24 hours instead of 48-72 hours, and always striving to find a time to reschedule when possible)
Folks find therapy with me to be particularly helpful because I lean in to your strengths and interests. We co-create a creative space where you can be free - whether that means crying, venting, moving your body, sitting quietly, or talking about your feelings about the therapy itself. I’m here for it.

I know Golden Gate Park like the back of my hand. I lived close to it for several years, and exploring its secret paths became my number one coping strategy in 2020.
I spent a year volunteering and living within a Tibetan Buddhist meditation center in Berkeley.
I’m the daughter of an Iranian immigrant, cis, queer/bi, and Jewish.
I recently moved to Minneapolis and it’s pretty cool (or, should I say…FREEZING!
